Emro to build Kolon Industries next-generation procurement portal, to finish in second half

Supply chain management software company Emro will build Kolon Industries’ next-generation procurement portal system. The project aims to create a new portal that integrates support across Kolon Industries’ purchasing process, from strategic and development purchasing to procurement purchasing and supplier management. The company plans to analyse internal and external data on various items and establish category-specific purchasing strategies. It plans to complete the system in the second half of this year.

Xionex supplies AI-based SCM \'PlanNEL\' to Snow Peak

Xionex, a supply chain management solution company, said on Tuesday it supplied its SaaS-based SCM solution PlanNEL to the Japan headquarters of global outdoor brand Snow Peak. Xionex said Snow Peak expanded its business in line with a surge in global camping demand and judged its Excel-based manual supply and demand management to be inefficient. Snow Peak adopted PlanNEL to integrate demand forecasting, sales planning and replenishment planning on one platform.

Intel 18A-based new laptop chips face supply shortage reports, testing manufacturing comeback plan

Intel’s next-generation laptop processors are reported to be facing supply shortages from the start of their launch, drawing attention because they are the company’s first major products made on its advanced 18A process. Tech journalist Tim Culpan said contacts at three major PC makers cited shortages of Panther Lake and Wildcat Lake. Intel acknowledged some tight supply but said it is improving, as it pushes its IDM strategy and expands its foundry business.
