Emro, a supply chain management software company, will build Kolon Industries’ next-generation procurement portal system.

The company said on June 29 the project centres on building a new procurement portal system that provides integrated support across Kolon Industries’ purchasing processes, from strategic purchasing and development purchasing to procurement purchasing and supplier management.

It focuses on strengthening strategic purchasing capabilities and securing both cost competitiveness and supply stability by structurally innovating the purchasing process.

Emro plans to analyse internal and external data on various purchased items to implement an integrated purchasing process optimised for Kolon Industries. Based on the analysis, it plans to establish category-specific optimised purchasing strategies to support ongoing strategic purchasing activities. It plans to complete the next-generation procurement portal system for Kolon Industries in the second half of this year after system analysis and design, development and integrated testing.

An Emro official said the project brings together Emro’s best-practice know-how accumulated in the materials and chemicals sector, procurement functions aligned with global standards and agentic AI technology specialised for procurement. The official said the company would do its best to successfully deliver Kolon Industries’ intelligent procurement innovation.
