K-subculture new titles gather at Japan\'s TGS, eyes on following Blue Archive and Goddess of Victory: Nikke

South Korean game companies are showcasing upcoming subculture games at Tokyo Game Show 2026, aiming to test gameplay and character appeal with Japanese users and build early fandoms before official launches. Nexon Games, Netmarble, Smilegate and NC are presenting new titles including Pareidolia, Pearl in Blue, Future Sight: The Unseen Future and Astrae Oratio. Companies also outlined demos, promotional plans and development schedules, with NC targeting a 2027 release.

NCSoft debuts \'Astrae Oratio\' demo at TGS 2026 ahead of 2027 launch

NCSoft has unveiled for the first time the scenario and combat build of its upcoming RPG \'Astrae Oratio\', slated for release in 2027, at Tokyo Game Show 2026. The company set up a dedicated booth and hands-on area where visitors can try scenario and combat modes. NCSoft also held a media preview led by game director Jong-gyu Lim and art director In Kim, and plans to gather feedback through the show demo and a global closed beta test later this year.

Korean game makers unveil new titles at Tokyo Game Show 2026

South Korean game companies are using Tokyo Game Show 2026 as a venue to test the market appeal of upcoming titles through hands-on demos for local users. Nexon, Netmarble, NC, Smilegate and Shift Up will showcase new games, playable builds and updated versions, and link booth programs to social media follows, pre-registration and closed beta sign-ups. Organisers say companies from 51 countries and regions will attend, including 38 participants from South Korea.
