NCSoft said on July 20 it will run a closed beta test (CBT) for its new subculture RPG 'Astrae Oratio' and begin recruiting participants in August.
The test is a trial operation that gives general users their first chance to play ahead of the official release. Recruitment is scheduled to begin in August, and detailed test information, including the schedule and participation procedures, will be provided later.
Astrae Oratio, developed by Dynamis One, is a new epic subculture RPG set in a fantasy world where magic exists. After first unveiling the game title and brand identity (BI) to the public on April 30, it has been releasing key content and world-building information in stages.
NCSoft will also expand touchpoints with global users by attending major overseas events in the second half of the year alongside the online test. It plans to showcase Astrae Oratio on site by participating in the local doujin event Comic Market in August and the Tokyo Game Show in September.
The company plans to reflect domestic and overseas user feedback collected through offline events and the CBT in the development process to raise the game's final level of completion.
