NCSoft has entered a global closed beta test (CBT) for its new RPG 'Astrae Oratio'. The test reveals key content including story, combat by difficulty and character interaction, and checks user reaction.

NCSoft said on Thursday it will run a five-day CBT for global users through Oct. 6. The test is conducted on mobile platforms and only selected users can take part.

The CBT first presents 3 main scenarios featuring stories by region. Through 'Tokyo, Civil Servants, and Magicians', 'The Sparkling Days of Minato's Magicians' and 'Shinjuku's Missing Magician and the Night of Urban-Legend Hunters', users can check the game's world view and main characters. It also provides 2 mini stories in trailer form.

Combat content is built around Minato and Shinjuku. Combat quests are divided by difficulty into Normal, Hard, Very Hard and Challenge.

In the boss battle content 'Score Trial', battles can be played under multiple conditions. In the 'Simulation Room', users can obtain resources needed for character growth.

Interaction content dealing with relationships with characters is also part of the test. In 'Free Time', users can raise bond levels while checking characters' daily lives, and can also try costumes that change appearance and character voices.

NCSoft said, "Based on play data and user feedback secured in this CBT, we plan to check the content configuration and the game overall and reflect the results in future development and service preparations."
