South Korea to foster brain-computer interface as future industry

South Korea\'s government plans to foster brain-computer interface (BCI) technology as a future core industry, aiming to take an early lead in an emerging brain-based sector. The Ministry of Science and ICT announced a joint interagency national research and development strategy covering mission-driven projects from 2027. It will pursue invasive BCI for intractable medical areas and non-invasive BCI for early commercialisation across fields including wearables, entertainment and defence, while also advancing brain-related drug development and data-driven brain models.

Hecto Healthcare\'s Desimone joins Suwon Kobe Baby Fair

Hecto Healthcare\'s probiotics brand Desimone will take part in the Suwon Kobe Baby Fair & Early Childhood Education Exhibition, the largest childcare fair in Gyeonggi province, the company said on Tuesday. The four-day event runs from March 19 to 22 at Suwon Messe near Suwon Station. Orion adds outside directors with customs and tax backgrounds amid strong overseas sales

Orion Group will strengthen its lineup of former officials as outside directors at annual shareholder meetings on March 26. Alongside existing appointees with backgrounds in the food safety regulator and prosecution, it will newly appoint former officials from the Korea Customs Service and the National Tax Service. With overseas business rising to 60 percent of total sales, the move is seen as aimed at strengthening its ability to respond to tax matters.
