Hecto Healthcare launched Desimone Balance Care, a new product under its premium probiotic brand Desimone, on Sunday. The stick-type functional health supplement contains 100 billion CFU of Desimone lactic acid bacteria, 4,000 mg of German 100 percent non-GMO plant-based myo-inositol and 760 mg of prebiotics. It is peach-flavoured and is taken as 2 sticks a day.

The product contains the Desimone Formula (DSF), which has been recognised by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety as the only formula in South Korea with the function of being able to help intestinal health by regulating intestinal immunity. It combines prebiotics, which serve as food for beneficial gut bacteria, with inositol. Inositol is a component of phospholipids that make up human cell membranes and is known to be involved in various physiological functions.

The global inositol market is expected to grow to about $1,031.57 million in 2034 from about $464.09 million in 2026. Global market research firm Fortune Business Insights projected a compound annual growth rate of 10.5 percent. Research and product development related to inositol have recently been increasing, especially in the women's health field, the company said.

A Hecto Healthcare official said, "Desimone Balance Care is a product designed to help women practise a health routine more conveniently in everyday life by combining Desimone probiotics, myo-inositol and prebiotics in one." The official added, "Based on the probiotic research capabilities accumulated by Desimone, we plan to continue expanding our product lineup beyond lactic acid bacteria to reflect consumers' diverse health management needs."

To mark the launch, the company will run a 'Naver New Product Week' promotion on Naver Smart Store through Aug. 9. It offers discounts of up to 44 percent by applying a basic 30 percent discount and an additional 20 percent discount coupon for Naver Lounge members.
