Hecto Healthcare said 1,000 units of pre-sale stock for De Simone Capsule Premium, a product under its premium probiotics brand De Simone, sold out. It said on Oct. 13 it is starting regular sales on its official online mall.

The pre-sale opened in limited quantities on Sept. 28 on De Simone’s official online mall. The company said all stock prepared ahead of the official launch was sold out. De Simone Capsule Premium contains 100 billion CFU of guaranteed probiotics per capsule. The guaranteed count refers to the number of lactic acid bacteria ensured to remain alive through the expiration date, and CFU is a unit for counting live bacteria. Users take 1 capsule a day, and each bottle contains 60 capsules, or about two months’ supply.

The product uses a blended ingredient, DSF (De Simone Formulation), developed by probiotics researcher Professor Claudio De Simone. DSF, which combines 8 types of lactic acid bacteria, received individual recognition in 2009 from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for the functional claim that it “may help intestinal health by regulating intestinal immunity.”

De Simone’s lineup includes its flagship product De Simone 4500, Baby·Kids Step for children, and De Simone Balance Care for women. The company explained that adding this capsule product has broadened the product range consumers can choose from depending on their preferred intake method.
