Naver Cloud said on Tuesday that its AI work collaboration platform Naver Works ranked first for nine straight months among major collaboration tools in South Korea in key indicators such as mobile user numbers and total usage time.

According to MobileIndex, Naver Works ranked first from January to September among eight major collaboration tools in South Korea in monthly users, active devices and total usage time.

The average monthly number of users in the third quarter of this year was about 302,000, about twice that of the No. 2 service at 153,000. Average monthly total usage time was about 499,000 hours, about 2.7 times more than the No. 2 service at 186,000 hours.

Average monthly active devices numbered about 566,000, ahead of the No. 2 service at 408,000, and new installations totaled about 61,000, the most among those surveyed.

The survey compared eight collaboration tools developed by South Korean companies based on Android and iOS mobile app usage data. PC and web usage data and overseas collaboration tools were not included.

Naver Works is also expanding adoption in the public sector. In March, it was selected as the official collaboration platform for the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's OnAI pilot project, and a total of 18 central government ministries have now confirmed adoption.

A Naver Cloud official said the analysis shows that Naver Works has secured a broad user base among collaboration tools in South Korea and is being actively used in workplaces. The official said it will establish itself as a collaboration platform chosen by more public institutions.
