Douzone Bizon breach signs prompt MSIT joint investigation team

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT has formed a public-private joint investigation team over a security incident involving enterprise software provider Douzone Bizon and has begun probing the cause and the scale of damage. Douzone Bizon reported two incidents on Oct. 16 and Oct. 21. The ministry and the Korea Internet & Security Agency had sought preservation of related materials and conducted a probe after the reports.

BNK Financial pushes groupwide AI system adoption, picks Samsung SDS as preferred bidder

BNK Financial Group is seeking to build a groupwide generative AI platform shared by all affiliates to reduce duplicated investment and manage risks from applying AI to financial tasks. The group has selected Samsung SDS as the preferred bidder and is negotiating details. BNK plans to roll out generative AI functions in internal rules and accountability checks, lending and foreign exchange operations, internal search and groupware. It will also develop groupwide AI management standards and an AI governance portal.

LG CNS named major player in IDC digital workplace vendor assessment

LG CNS said on Oct. 19 it was named a “Major Player” in IDC’s “2026 Worldwide Digital Workplace Services Vendor Assessment.” The assessment covered 18 global IT companies, and LG CNS was the only South Korean company included. IDC cited strengths including AI-native platform capabilities, expertise in security and network separation environments, and delivery capabilities spanning consulting through deployment and operations.
