Younglimwon Softlab, an enterprise solutions company, said on Tuesday it has begun a next-generation ERP rollout project being carried out by construction machinery parts manufacturer Jinsung TEC.

The project focuses on upgrading the existing system while standardising companywide business processes and building an integrated operating framework.

Jinsung TEC plans to integrate key business areas including production and quality, sales and exports, procurement and imports, materials and logistics, costing and profitability, accounting, budgeting and finance, and HR and payroll, based on Younglimwon Softlab's K-System ERP. It also plans to establish linkages with key systems such as groupware, MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).

It will also pursue business innovation tasks through PI (Process Innovation), including standardising business processes and master data and establishing a system of roles and responsibilities.

Jinsung TEC CEO Sung-su Yoon (윤성수) said the next-generation ERP rollout is a project to build a management infrastructure that can support the company's growth strategy beyond a simple system replacement. He said the company plans to improve consistency in execution and management visibility and establish an operating framework that can respond more nimbly to a changing global business environment.

Younglimwon Softlab Vice President Yun-kyung Park (박윤경) said it is important for global manufacturing companies to have an environment that can integrate and manage operating systems dispersed by business site under a single standard. She said Younglimwon Softlab will actively support Jinsung TEC in establishing standard processes and implementing a globally integrated operating framework based on its experience in building ERP systems tailored for manufacturing.
