NC AI said on Thursday it has been selected as the lead research and development agency for the “Real-world proactive action-type agentic AI technology development project” promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute for Information and Communications Technology Planning and Evaluation (IITP).

NC AI will form a consortium with Gabia, Korea University and Yonsei University to develop enterprise agentic AI technology that understands an organisation’s goals and work context and carries out planning, execution and verification.

The project will run for 4 years from 2026 to 2029 with a total budget of 49.375 billion won, including 39.5 billion won in state funding.

The technology will link multiple work systems and data to learn corporate rules and user-specific work patterns, focusing on autonomously establishing and carrying out work procedures suited to each situation.

The research results will be applied to Gabia groupware to verify performance and stability in real corporate environments, with plans to commercialise them as paid services.

NC AI plans to expand its autonomous execution technology, secured in digital work environments, to physical AI fields such as manufacturing and logistics.

Lee Yeon-su (이연수), CEO of NC AI, said, "Based on agentic AI technology verified in real corporate environments, we will lay the foundation for next-generation technology that leads to digital work innovation and physical AI."
