HoverAir has unveiled Versa, a 2-in-1 product that combines a self-flying drone with a pocket gimbal camera. The detachable design lets users shoot aerial footage as a drone and remove the wings to use it as a handheld gimbal camera. Versa has received U.S. Federal Communications Commission certification, enabling sales in the United States. It supports up to 4K 60fps video and weighs 230 grams as a drone.

Although enthusiasm for humanoid robots is spreading, skepticism about human-shaped designs is growing among some Silicon Valley investors. They argue that robots tailored to specific tasks are more efficient in industrial settings and that humanoids can be more about demonstrations than practicality. Funding is moving to wheeled general-purpose robots and industrial automation. Supporters counter that successful humanoids could target manufacturing, logistics, services and homes, and investment in the sector is rising sharply.
