Smilegate Stove opens pre-registration for \'Special Force Remastered\'

Smilegate\'s game platform Stove is launching pre-registration for Dragonfly\'s first-person shooter \'Special Force Remastered\' as a new title on the platform, it said on Thursday. The pre-registration runs through Sept. 16. Users who register will receive PlayK and discount coupons immediately, and will get limited-edition skins and Stove-exclusive items after the official launch. Additional rewards will also be offered based on cumulative play time.

Crit Ventures makes follow-on investment in \'Zeus: God of Arrogance\' developer Avertone

Venture capital firm Crit Ventures has made a follow-on investment in Avertone, the developer of the MMORPG \"Zeus: God of Arrogance\". The firm said on Thursday it executed the investment through a project fund of about 6 billion won formed for investing in Avertone. It is the second investment following an initial one in 2024. Avertone was founded by CEO Kim Dae-hwan, who previously oversaw development of titles including Nexon’s \"Prasia War\" and \"Dave the Diver\".

Webzen unveils brand identity for new title \'Tyrant of the Defense Game: Last Stage\'

Webzen said on Tuesday it has confirmed the official game title for its in-house new project, previously known as Project D1, as \"Tyrant of the Defense Game: Last Stage\" and unveiled its brand identity. The command strategy RPG is being developed by its unit Webzen Crevix based on Naver Webtoon IP. The company aims to launch the game in 2027 and plans to release further details and a schedule as development progresses.
