Desktop GPU prices may rise again. What to buy now and which models to consider

Expectations are growing that desktop GPU prices could rise again in the second half of 2026, driven by higher video memory prices and price adjustments in regional distribution networks. Japan distributor CFD warned of possible price increases for Gigabyte graphics cards of 20 to 40 percent. Prices for 16GB models have risen more than smaller-memory products, while some midrange models such as RTX 5070 and Radeon RX 9070 have been relatively stable.
