Nexon Games will unveil the first playable version of its new title 'Pareidolia' at Tokyo Game Show 2026 (TGS 2026).

Nexon Games said on Wednesday it will showcase a demo build of Pareidolia at TGS 2026, which runs through Sept. 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, Japan.

Pareidolia is a new title under development by RX Studio, part of Nexon Games' IO Division, which developed 'Blue Archive'. Players take up a post as head of a restoration centre in the Earth-like world of "Animaci" and live with "Mates" who have special abilities while solving problems that arise in the city.

The TGS demo build is about 10 minutes long. Visitors can control a three-member party of "Minie", "Ohana" and "Shami" to experience exploration and combat at Tasogare Hall, which has become a dungeon due to anomalous phenomena. It also includes a flow in which players return to Tasogare Hall after completing a mission and interact with characters.

Character interaction using voice recognition has also been applied. Visitors can interact with characters by speaking dialogue choices or directly summoning Mates at Tasogare Hall.

Nexon Games will also operate a booth recreating Tasogare Hall from the game at 7 Hall C04. It has placed in-game spatial elements such as a large pendulum clock and an elevator, and prepared a 12-seat demo area and a "Mates rock-paper-scissors" experience.

On site, it will also run a stamp rally linked to demo participation, posting booth photos on social media services (SNS) and the rock-paper-scissors experience. Participants can receive TGS-limited goods such as can badges and towels depending on the number of stamps collected.

Pareidolia was first revealed in 2024 under the name "Project RX". It introduced its first offline experience space at Anime Expo 2026 held in Los Angeles in July, and revealed its current official title on Aug. 24.
