Bamitongwi to hold K-drama investment pitch at Cannes International Series Festival
The Broadcasting Media Communication Commission, known as Bamitongwi, and the Korea Communications Agency will take part in the 9th Cannes International Series Festival in Cannes from April 23 to 28. They will hold an investment presentation and screenings to support the overseas expansion of Korean broadcast content. Four works will join the pitch event on April 23, while three titles will be screened on April 24 with five actors attending.

KCA overhauls Information Security Risk Manager and Information Security Competency Test
The Korea Communications Agency (KCA) said on April 13 it will overhaul eligibility requirements for the Information Security Risk Manager certification and change how the Information Security Competency Test is awarded. From 2026, anyone with information security risk management capability will be able to apply, without separate limits such as education or career history. The competency test will move to a 900-point system with no grades, recognizing total scores to improve differentiation.

LG HelloVision to run AI digital training for vulnerable groups and small businesses in Gyeonggi
LG HelloVision is launching tailored artificial intelligence education support to help narrow the digital divide in local communities. The company said it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Gyeonggi Viewer Media Center of the Korea Communications Agency Foundation to expand community-based AI training. The programme targets vulnerable groups and small business owners through pilot courses, skills training and community activities. Classes have been held in Namyangju and Bucheon.
