The Broadcast Media Communications Commission and the Korea Communications Agency (KCA) said on Sunday they are recruiting participants for an overseas distribution support programme linked to the 2026 Asia TV Forum & Market (ATF) in Singapore.

Applications run from Sunday through Sept. 8. ATF is an annual media and entertainment content market held in Singapore. This year's event will be held on Dec. 3 to 5.

The commission will select a total of 11 works, including proposals for Korean broadcast content and production-support titles, and support participation in an on-site showcase and a business-matching promotion booth.

For the showcase, it will select up to seven Korean broadcast projects in the planning stage. Korean broadcast content businesses or individual creators, including independent producers and writers, can apply. Eligible genres are drama and non-drama. Documentaries and animation are excluded.

For the business-matching promotion booth, it will select up to four works from among titles chosen for KCA's broadcast programme production support projects in 2025-2026. For each selected work, it will also support airfare and accommodation for 1 participant.

The commission and KCA have supported overseas distribution of Korean broadcast content in connection with ATF since 2024. Last year, they supported 11 Korean broadcast works and held a total of 152 overseas business consultations and collaboration discussions, including 28 co-productions, 22 purchases of broadcast rights and 69 distribution and circulation deals.

This year's event is also set to feature, for the first time, a dedicated promotion booth introducing artificial intelligence (AI) content and technology. The commission and KCA have introduced Korean broadcast content using AI technology at ATF over the past 2 years.

Details can be found on the KCA website.
