Tesla new Roadster charges in 10 minutes with most advanced battery pack yet
Tesla plans to equip its new Roadster with what it calls its most advanced high-voltage battery pack yet. The car aims to deliver high-output driving and ultra-fast charging using in-house 4680 cylindrical cells and an upgraded thermal management system. Vice President of Engineering Lars Moravy (Lars Moravy) said charging from 15 percent to 85 percent could take about 10 minutes, though exact battery capacity, peak charging power and voltage architecture have not been disclosed.

Tesla says Roadster delivery not guaranteed for reservation holders
Tesla has specified to next-generation Roadster reservation holders that it cannot guarantee when the car will be delivered or whether it will be delivered at all. The company says the Roadster is still under development and that a reservation is not a confirmed order. Buyers may pay up to $250,000 up front but receive only an approximate place in line if mass production begins. Price, options and specifications remain subject to change, with a target launch in 2028.

Tesla Roadster can self-recharge compressed air, recharge time undisclosed
Tesla said its new Roadster can refill its compressed-air tank on its own by collecting and compressing ambient air, but it did not disclose how long recharging takes or how many times it can be used consecutively. The Roadster comes in Performance, Thrust and Rocket versions, with thrusters limited to higher trims. Demonstration specifications included two 600-litre pressure vessels and about 250 kg of compressed air, though it is unclear if that applies to the Thrust model.
