Grayscale says bitcoin forms bottom at $65,000 to $70,000 and has passed the low
Asset manager Grayscale said it believes bitcoin has already formed a bottom. Citing realised price, an on-chain metric, it estimated the realised price for bitcoin that changed hands in the past 1 to 3 months at about $74,000. Grayscale said the current price is just below that level, suggesting many recent buyers have recovered to near break-even. Other analysts said a clearer low could come in late 2026.

Why altcoin season has not arrived unlike bitcoin
Bitcoin rose to around $126,000 in the autumn of 2025 to set a new record, but the altcoin season many expected did not emerge. Into the Cryptoverse founder Benjamin Cowen said the cycle peaked amid indifference rather than euphoria, with historically low social participation and weak inflows of new retail investors. He also pointed to macro conditions and tight liquidity, arguing investors rotated into relatively safer assets such as bitcoin.

Bitcoin bottom may still lie ahead; Cowen sees trough in fall 2026
Bitcoin’s cycle low is likely to form around October 2026, a forecast said. Benjamin Cowen, CEO of Into The Cryptoverse and a former NASA researcher, said the current cycle is following a similar time structure to the past two cycles, with the peak forming within about a week of prior peaks. If the pattern holds, the trough could come about a year later, though he did not rule out an earlier bottom.
