A pedal-equipped electric bicycle with performance close to an electric motorcycle is drawing attention. Chinese electric mobility firm Anioki has unveiled its A9 Pro Max Dual Motor 2.0, featuring dual motors rated up to 6,000W and a battery capacity close to 5 kWh. Higher-spec versions are listed with up to 7,000W output and a claimed top speed of 87 to 98 kph. The model raises questions over legal classification in key markets.

South Korea began an \"EV Fire Peace-of-Mind Insurance\" scheme in July that compensates damage before the cause is determined. Policy terms allow insurers to seek recourse from vehicle owners or drivers, manufacturers including parts makers, importers, charging-facility owners or managers, or other liable third parties once fault is confirmed. Battery makers are excluded from insured parties and premiums, but can face claims if defects are found or if losses exceed coverage limits.
