Gen Z buys more ETFs than millennials and Gen X in surprise twist for \'coin generation\'

Gen Z investors using crypto exchanges trade equity products less frequently than millennials and Gen X, but keep more money in ETFs and individual stocks than in leveraged products, Binance Research data showed. Gen Z’s ETF share of spot stock trading rose to 25% in early August from 14.6% in June, outpacing millennials. Gen Z accounts also showed more buy-and-hold behaviour, while leveraged products were used more for short-term trading.

IEA cuts oil supply outlook again; could it shake bitcoin rate-cut hopes

The International Energy Agency cut its 2026 oil supply outlook again and pushed back the timing for a full recovery of supply in the Gulf region to 2027. The agency also lowered its demand outlook and estimated a steep draw in confirmed global oil inventories. The shifts add uncertainty for bitcoin investors focused on inflation and the path of U.S. interest rates, while U.S. inflation expectations have risen in a University of Michigan survey.

Guhyeok-chae attends quantum strategic technology forum, vows to detail medium-to-long-term strategy

Guhyeok-chae (구혁채), first vice minister at the Ministry of Science and ICT, discussed a medium- to long-term development strategy for quantum technology with representatives from industry, academia and research. He attended the 2026 Quantum National Strategic Technology National Assembly Policy Forum held on Sept. 9 at the National Assembly Museum. The forum followed the government’s selection last month of quantum as a next-generation frontier field under its seven SEED future growth engines.
