MSIT seeks applicants for 2026 SW High Growth Club support programme
South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) said on Jan. 22 they are recruiting new companies for the 2026 SW High Growth Club programme. The scheme supports high-potential domestic firms with funding to carry out self-directed projects and global growth programmes. It will back 47 firms this year and add a new export high-growth track with tailored investment and marketing strategies for overseas expansion.

Ripple’s aggressive acquisitions and changes in the regulatory environment are rapidly reshaping perceptions within the XRP community. Some now view Ripple as a financial infrastructure company competing with traditional banks in treasury services, cross-border payments and custody. Ripple expanded via multiple acquisitions in 2025 and obtained a U.S. bank charter in December. Google’s Gemini AI model outlined XRP price scenarios tied to adoption, while competition and regulatory risks could affect growth.

IST E to supply sorters to SK Hynix M15X line
IST E said on Thursday it signed a contract with SK Hynix to supply semiconductor automation equipment worth 4.4 billion won, or 10.68 percent of its 2024 annual revenue. The equipment, a sorter, supports automated wafer handling in clean semiconductor production lines. The company said the sorter will be applied to SK Hynix's new M15X line, which is expected to begin operations this year. Delivery is due by Oct. 1, 2026.
