Samsung and LG offer pre-season air conditioner checkups
Samsung Electronics Service and LG Electronics are offering pre-season air conditioner inspection services from March 3 to March 31, they said on Monday. The companies cited a longer summer season and urged customers to check units in advance. Samsung provides self-check guidance, SmartThings-based AI diagnostics and an early-bird cleaning promotion through April 30. LG offers home visits by engineers, app-based diagnostics and discounted cleaning services. Both offer free visit and inspection fees.

Messe Muenchen to hold world's largest lab equipment exhibition in Hanoi
Messe Muenchen said on March 3 that analytica Hanoi 2026, described as the world’s largest exhibition for laboratory and analytical equipment, will be held in Hanoi on April 22-24. More than 150 global companies and brands are set to take part, with CHC Lab and Daehan Scientific participating from South Korea. The company said research infrastructure investment is concentrating in northern Vietnam and projected growth in Vietnam’s life sciences and analytical instruments market.

OpenAI to hold AI hackathon finals in Seoul with JoCoding and Primer
OpenAI said on March 3 it will hold the finals of an "AI hackathon" in Seoul on March 7 with developer YouTuber JoCoding and startup accelerator Primer. The preliminary round ran from Feb. 7 to 20 and drew 3,295 participants, including developers and prospective founders. Thirty teams will compete in the finals. Participants will use the OpenAI API and Codex to develop and launch working AI-based services and products.
