KakaoBank said on Tuesday that its CEO Yoon Ho-young (윤호영) has joined the "campaign to eradicate illegal youth gambling".
The campaign is a society-wide initiative led by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency to highlight the risks of youth gambling problems and raise awareness of prevention.
Yoon shared on social media a photo carrying a message urging an end to illegal youth gambling, and encouraged broad interest and participation to protect adolescents.
Yoon joined the campaign after being named by Korea Citibank CEO You Myung-soon (유명순). He recommended K Bank CEO Choi Woo-hyung (최우형) as the next participant in the relay.
"Illegal youth gambling is an important task that society as a whole must solve together, beyond an individual's problem," Yoon said. "I will fulfill our social responsibility to protect adolescents and foster a sound social culture so that young people can grow their dreams in a healthy way," he added.
