Nol Universe said on Tuesday that 210,000 itineraries have been created on NOL’s artificial intelligence-based travel itinerary service in the six months since it opened. Jeju was the region with the highest number of itineraries.
The travel itinerary service is a function that allows customers to create and manage personalised travel plans tailored to their preferences. It provides AI-based travel route suggestions, product recommendations and map-linked itinerary management, focusing on overseas and Jeju travel.
NOL expanded the scope of the function in late January to improve customer convenience. It improved the service so customers booking lodging can use travel itineraries that were previously generated automatically only for flight bookings.
It also linked flight and lodging booking data within the platform regardless of booking timing or order. It tied scattered booking information into a single flow and automatically built a travel timeline to upgrade the system. The company said itinerary creation in the first week after the expansion rose by about more than 2 times from the previous week.
Yeon-jung Kim (김연정), chief product officer at Nol Universe, said NOL’s travel itinerary service is differentiated by proposing actionable travel plans by linking them to customers’ actual booking data. She said the company will continue to upgrade AI- and data-based personalisation technology to deliver a customer experience that connects the entire journey.
