Kakao said on Tuesday it will expand its KakaoTalk mobile electronic document service in cooperation with the National Health Insurance Service.
The move will allow users to receive more than 300 types of documents through KakaoTalk, including health screening forms and guidance notices, infant and toddler screening forms, metabolic syndrome guidance notices, guidance on applying for refunds of out-of-pocket payments, and notices on eligibility changes for local subscribers.
Users can receive documents through KakaoTalk notifications without installing a separate app or signing up. When viewing documents, they can confirm them securely through identity verification using a Kakao certificate.
Kim Jae-heon (김재헌), leader of Kakao's Wallet Business Team, said delivering documents closely tied to people's daily lives, such as health screening forms, through KakaoTalk would further improve access to public information. He said Kakao would continue to expand cooperation with public institutions to help improve public convenience and administrative efficiency.
