KakaoPay Securities CEO says it aims to reach 20 million investors within three years
KakaoPay Securities set a goal of reaching 20 million investors within three years by rolling out an AI investment agent and leveraging Kakao affiliate platforms. It plans to launch a service for U.S. investors to invest in South Korean stocks in the first half of next year and is reviewing 24-hour trading through tokenisation. The company also plans to expand investment banking, focus on venture capital and pursue a stock-gifting programme.

Korea Exchange sponsors 70 million won for youth financial education
Korea Exchange has stepped up support for youth financial education to strengthen the financial capabilities of vocational high school students preparing to enter society. The exchange said it delivered 70 million won in sponsorship funds to the Youth Financial Education Council at its Busan headquarters on July 20. It has run related programs since 2012. This year it plans to support tailored education for 2,000 vocational and high school students in Busan.

Shinhan Bank ties up with Government Officials Pension Service to expand AI, digital finance training for retired civil servants
Shinhan Bank will expand AI and digital finance education and financial fraud prevention training for retired civil servants through cooperation with the Government Officials Pension Service. The bank said it signed a business agreement in Seoul on July 16 to strengthen AI and digital financial capabilities and protect financial consumers. The two organisations will jointly run tailored programmes on fraud prevention, AI use, digital finance and asset management, and pursue joint campaigns.
