Viva Republica, operator of finance app Toss, will provide financial education with the National Institute for Children’s Rights Guarantee for youths in extended protection and others preparing for independence.

Toss said on Aug. 10 it will join the institute’s "2026 Independence Camp for Youths in Extended Protection" as a financial education partner.

The camp is a program that supports strengthening independent living capabilities and building social support systems for youths in extended protection and youths under protection. This year it will run education programs needed for independent living, including career, daily life and finance, across three regions: Gwangju, Busan and Seoul.

Toss will be in charge of financial education for about 150 participants, including youths in extended protection and youths expected to exit protection who join the camp.

The program consists of youth-tailored financial products, tax-saving and asset-building methods, spending habits and credit management, and types of financial fraud and prevention measures. It will also cover cases of financial fraud that young people may be exposed to, including voice phishing, SNS investment "reading rooms", illegal loan refinancing, and identity theft.

Current Toss employees will participate as instructors. They plan to conduct training centered on real cases and hands-on activities and also hold a question-and-answer session related to financial life.

A Toss official said, "We will continue a variety of financial education so that young people preparing for independence can understand finance and build the capacity to make their own judgments."
