Hana Financial Group has provided financial support to older residents on Ulleungdo through its "Hana Happy Dream Bus", offering asset management consulting and education to prevent financial fraud.
Hana Financial said on Aug. 18 that the "Hana Happy Dream Bus", which it has been operating since March, visited Ulleungdo and ran financial and non-financial programmes for about 230 seniors.
The Happy Dream Bus joined an education event held by the Korea Senior Citizens Association at the Ulleung County Residents' Hall. It provided financial education and consulting on retirement asset management and inheritance and gifts to about 180 local seniors.
Retired financial professionals who previously served as PB centre heads and branch managers at Hana Bank handled the lectures and individual consultations. Before the financial lecture, a professional instructor also ran a laughter therapy programme.
The Happy Dream Bus also visited senior centres, including those in Namyang-ri and Sadong 3-ri. It provided about 50 seniors with education on retirement asset management and responses to dementia and voice phishing, as well as one-on-one financial consulting.
A Hana Financial official said, "We will continue to promote inclusive finance that provides practical help to senior and elderly vulnerable groups nationwide."
