iM Financial Group will provide eight weeks of financial education for 100 young people in the Daegu and North Gyeongsang region together with the Financial Supervisory Service's Daegu-Gyeongbuk office.

iM Financial Group's iM Social Contribution Foundation said on Sept. 8 it held a launch ceremony for the "Korea Youth Financial Education Project" with the FSS Daegu-Gyeongbuk office on Sept. 7 at iM Bank's second headquarters.

The project is a tailored financial education program for 100 young people aged 19 to 39 in the Daegu and North Gyeongsang region. It focuses on helping them not only learn financial knowledge but also make their own financial decisions and set future asset plans.

The curriculum was designed after a pre-survey of participating young people. The program will run every Friday through November for a total of eight weeks across "Level 1 Basic", "Level 2 Introductory" and "Level 3 Practical" stages.

Current executives and employees from iM Financial Group, the FSS Daegu-Gyeongbuk office and the National Pension Service, among others, are set to take part in the lectures to share financial knowledge and practical experience.

At the launch ceremony, letters of appointment were presented to iM Financial Group employee instructors who will oversee the education, and appointment certificates were awarded to participating young people.

Hwang Byung-woo (황병우), chairman of the iM Social Contribution Foundation, said he hopes the project will help young people properly understand finance and take the lead in designing their lives and futures.
