Dunamu, which operates the Upbit digital asset exchange, held a participatory financial education event with the Seoul city government to improve young people’s understanding of finance.
Dunamu said on Sunday it wrapped up the “Seoul X Upbit Upclass Finance Golden Bell” held on Sept. 19 at Dalbit Square in Banpo Hangang Park in Seoul. About 160 citizens took part on site and solved quiz questions on a range of topics.
Upclass Finance Golden Bell is part of a business agreement Dunamu and Seoul signed in July to strengthen young people’s economic and financial capabilities. Instead of lecture-style education, it used a participatory format in which participants solved questions directly using smartphones.
The quiz included basic financial knowledge such as credit and loans, as well as digital asset-related topics such as bitcoin, blockchain and real-world assets (RWA). Questions also included ways to prevent financial fraud such as voice phishing and deepfakes.
An event quiz introducing “Young Tech,” Seoul’s youth support policy, was also held. It was designed to expose participants not only to financial knowledge but also to Seoul’s support policies related to young people’s economic activity.
An Upbit official said, “It is meaningful in that, together with Seoul, young people could naturally learn even how to prevent financial fraud while solving questions themselves and communicating.” The official added, “We will continue to provide various educational opportunities on financial knowledge and digital assets.”
