Sam Altman says AI does not create security problems, it finds flaws

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said AI is rapidly revealing security vulnerabilities accumulated in existing systems and that companies need to change how they respond. Speaking in a stage discussion with Oracle co-CEO Clay Magouyrk, Altman pointed to limits of fixing bugs one by one. Oracle said it handled about 3,000 issues in its latest quarterly security patch update, most found using AI, and introduced Oracle AI Security Mesh with OpenAI.

Japan\'s Eole to sell all 151 bitcoins, bet on AI data centres

Japan\'s Eole Inc., listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth market, plans to sell all 151.21 bitcoins it holds and invest the proceeds in its AI data centre business. The company expects sale proceeds of 1.83 billion yen based on Oct. 30 market prices and anticipates a sale loss of about 254 million yen to be reflected in cost of sales for the third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027. It cited growing cyber threats as a key factor.

Posco Future M, LG Energy Solution agree on 7-year supply of 720,000 tonnes, expand LFP and synthetic graphite

Posco Future M said it signed a future cooperation memorandum of understanding with LG Energy Solution to broaden cooperation on battery materials. The scope includes LFP cathode materials and synthetic graphite anode materials, as well as next-generation products such as ultra high-nickel cathodes, sodium-ion batteries and silicon anodes. Under the agreement, Posco Future M plans to supply a total of 720,000 tonnes of cathode and anode materials over seven years from 2027 to 2033.
