Samsung Galaxy Watch9, Ultra2 to get 5 years of Wear OS updates

Samsung will support Wear OS updates for five years on the Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2, making them its first smartwatches with that guarantee. The watches will receive operating system upgrades starting with Wear OS 7 through 2031, aligning OS support with Samsung\'s five-year security patch policy. PIPC fines TikTok and Apple over collection and use of personal data without legal basis

South Korea’s Personal Information Protection Commission said it decided to impose total penalties of 10.56 billion won on TikTok and two Apple affiliates for violating the Personal Information Protection Act and the former Information and Communications Network Act. It said both businesses collected, used and transferred personal data overseas without a legal basis. The commission ordered corrective measures and public disclosure, and said it will keep monitoring overseas businesses’ data practices.
