Neowiz said on Monday that 'Hello Seoul: Itaewon Episode', a narrative puzzle-adventure game under development by Gino Games, will take part in Steam Next Fest, which runs through Oct. 27.
During the event, users can play a newly improved demo on PC Steam. It supports 10 languages including Korean, English, simplified Chinese and Japanese.
The demo overhauls playable sections, puzzles, exploration, presentation and controls, reflecting user feedback collected from the previously released version and a beta test.
It expands the playable area compared with the existing demo and adds new puzzles to those sections. It also revises some art elements such as backgrounds and objects, and improves background detail, sound effects and control convenience.
In the new sections, players can explore spaces where familiar Seoul has become unfamiliar after a disaster and see the next scene in the story that had not been released before.
Neowiz also released new key art to coincide with its Steam Next Fest participation. The key art captures Seoul, the post-disaster mood and the emotions of the characters.
'Hello Seoul: Itaewon Episode' is set in Seoul in the near future ahead of an asteroid collision. It follows the protagonist, Ra-yeon (라연) (Rion), as she tracks clues related to the government's space evacuation project. The game is built around 2.5D pixel-art exploration, environmental puzzles and character relationships.
Kim Jin-ho (김진호), CEO of Gino Games, said, "We are improving some elements based on user feedback confirmed through the beta test." He said, "In this demo, we expanded the playable sections and added new sections and new puzzles."
'Hello Seoul: Itaewon Episode' is scheduled to be released on PC Steam, and users can currently add it to their wishlist on the Steam store page.
