Tesla confirms FSD availability in China, but rollout timing unclear; when for South Korea?

Tesla has officially confirmed it will offer its driver-assistance system FSD in China, but it has not disclosed when it will actually be rolled out. The company said in a post on X that “Full Self-Driving (Supervised)” is available in China. Some drivers in China said the function was not yet activated in their vehicles. In South Korea, FSD is supported only on U.S.-made Model S and Model X vehicles.

Tesla patents selective heat-suction cooling to extend range without adding battery capacity

Tesla has disclosed a patent for a new cabin climate-control technology that selectively draws in hot air from specific zones to improve cooling efficiency. The system adds a suction function to existing HVAC equipment, creating negative pressure at certain points to pull in hot air and recirculate it after adjustment. The patent says it could cut air-conditioning power use by up to 7.4 percent at about 40 degrees Celsius and proposes activating the feature only when needed.

Tesla targets 1 million a year for Optimus humanoid robot, but will demand follow?

Tesla has unveiled plans to convert the Model S and Model X production line at its Fremont plant into a first-generation production line for its humanoid robot Optimus, targeting output of 1 million units a year. It also said it is preparing a second-generation line at its Texas Gigafactory, designed for 10 million units annually in the long term. The plan raises questions about demand, pricing and performance, and when consumer sales will begin.
