Hana Financial ties up with Kyung Hee University to support youth startups, introduces AI-based practical training

Hana Financial Group said it signed a business agreement with Kyung Hee University to help boost youth entrepreneurship in local communities and will recruit the fifth cohort of its Hana Social Venture University programme. The group said the programme had produced a cumulative 5,050 graduates by end-2025, with 431 startup teams operating businesses and 1,081 jobs created. The new cohort will add AI-based practical training and broader follow-up support.

NHN consortium selected to lead health ministry AI smart home project

An NHN-led consortium has been selected as the lead organisation for the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s programme to support rapid commercialisation of AI application products in the smart home field, NHN said on Wednesday. The project aims to integrate AI and Internet of Things technologies into care services to provide 24-hour safety, emotional and health services. The consortium plans to build a smart home platform and conduct pilot tests for 400 households in Gyeonggi and South Jeolla.

MSIT holds K-Moonshot policy strategy seminar

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korean Society of Management of Technology Economics held a seminar on April 17 to explore directions for science and technology innovation in the artificial intelligence era. Participants discussed the government\'s K-Moonshot strategy, a national-scale project to tackle key challenges by combining AI and science and technology.
