KT launches first cohort of K-New Deal Academy to train young AX talent

KT is running a hands-on training programme to boost young people’s AI transformation (AX) capabilities. The company said it held an entry ceremony for the first cohort of its KT K-New Deal Academy at five training centres nationwide and began training about 200 participants. The programme is built on KT Group services and business sites, with more than half of courses taught by current practitioners and including projects, contests and job experience activities.

KT bets on AX with 18 trillion won investment over three years to grow AIDC and token factory

KT set out a new vision to move beyond its role as a key national telecommunications operator and become an \"AI transition (AX) platform company.\" It plans to expand AI data centres and pursue new businesses such as a token factory and stablecoins. KT will invest about 12 trillion won over three years in information security, IT and networks, and about 5 trillion won to add 1GW of AIDC capacity. It will also invest 1 trillion won to expand undersea cable capacity.

KT recruits trainees for K-New Deal Academy to train AX talent

KT is joining the government-run K-New Deal Academy programme to train young talent for the artificial intelligence transition era. The company said it is recruiting trainees for the first cohort of the KT K-New Deal Academy. The programme delivers practical training based on KT’s telecommunications and AI expertise and applies know-how from its KT AIVLE School. More than half of the curriculum is led by working-level practitioners, with training hubs in five regions nationwide.
