[DigitalToday Jin-ho Lee] KT is running a practical training programme to strengthen young people’s AI transformation (AX) capabilities.
KT said on July 28 it held an entry ceremony for the first cohort of its KT K-New Deal Academy at 5 training centres nationwide and began training about 200 participants.
The KT K-New Deal Academy is a programme in which KT passes on to young people the expertise and field experience it has built up in ICT and AX. It structured the curriculum based on KT Group services and business sites.
More than half of the courses are led by current practitioners. Trainees learn industry experience and practical know-how from KT field experts and take part in projects, competitions, visits to group affiliates and job experience activities.
It is also running programmes to support adjustment and independence after employment, including business communication and improving work efficiency.
A KT official said, "We will support young people so they can develop the capabilities needed in the field and enter society," and added, "We will continue to expand programmes that help young people grow and become self-reliant."
