KT said on Aug. 28 it held a job fair a day earlier at Sofitel Ambassador Seoul in Songpa-gu, Seoul, for about 350 trainees in the ninth cohort of its Able School programme.

A total of 17 companies, including KT, major KT group affiliates and ICT firms, participated by providing hiring consultations and information on companies and job roles. The Seoul Employment Welfare Plus Center under the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Administration also took part to introduce youth employment support programmes.

KT Able School runs a job fair exclusively for trainees when its six-month AX training course concludes. It aims to help trainees deepen their understanding of companies and roles and connect that to actual employment.

On the day, trainees received consultations at company-specific booths on hiring processes, capabilities needed for each role and directions for job preparation. The event also included a session where alumni who found jobs after completing Able School shared their job-hunting process and work experience.

Lee Sun-joo (이선주), an executive director and head of KT's talent office, said that as industry demand for AX talent expands, Able School has established itself as a job-linkage programme connecting companies with prepared young talent. He said KT will continue to support young people so they can build practical capabilities in the digital field and enter society.
