Woori Bank, Financial Security Institute to hold mock hacking contest to find security flaws
Woori Bank will hold the sixth mock hacking competition, WooriCON, with the Financial Security Institute to identify potential security vulnerabilities in its digital banking services. The event runs from Sept. 7 to 18 and includes 109 university and graduate students across 40 teams that passed document screening. Teams will compete in a bug bounty format. Woori Bank will select four winning teams and award 4.6 million won in total prizes.

Younglimwon Softlab and Shinhan Bank to offer discounted ERP fees for public-interest foundations
Younglimwon Softlab said on Sept. 1 it will work with Shinhan Bank to discount monthly fees for its SystemEver Nonprofit cloud ERP for new customers to support digital transformation and improve accounting efficiency at public-interest foundations. Eligible foundations must newly subscribe to the ERP, open or convert to a Shinhan dedicated account and join Shinhan’s Bank In platform. Discounts of 100,000 won per month for six months will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

KB Kookmin Bank offers 1GB eSIM data to non-face-to-face currency exchange customers
KB Kookmin Bank is running an event offering 1GB of eSIM data to customers preparing for overseas travel who exchange currency through non-face-to-face channels. The promotion runs from Aug. 14 to Sept. 30. It applies to customers who request an exchange of at least the equivalent of $100 via KB Star Banking or internet banking. The first 50,000 customers will receive free global eSIM data.
