A customer information leak has occurred at KB Kookmin Bank, following Shinhan Bank.
The financial sector said on Thursday that KB Kookmin Bank said it recently confirmed that about 100 cases of customer information were leaked through abnormal external access.
KB Kookmin Bank was reported to have blocked the relevant server and the external access route immediately after detecting the incident.
The information was leaked from an employee mobile work support system. KB Kookmin Bank explained it was unrelated to customer financial transaction systems such as internet banking and mobile banking.
Financial authorities have received a report on the incident from KB Kookmin Bank and are discussing response measures, and an on-site investigation is also under way, it was reported.
