The Postal Service under South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT said on Tuesday it will run the "My Investment Pacemaker, Post Office Fund" event to encourage use of the Post Office Fund.

The event runs from Oct. 1 to Nov. 4. It is open to individual customers who buy funds worth at least 100,000 won and customers who sign up with at least 100,000 won and register an automatic transfer of at least 100,000 won a month for 12 months or more. Customers who share the event post or promotional video on social networking services can also participate.

The Postal Service will draw winners from participants and offer prizes including a Galaxy Z Fold8, an Apple Watch, Shinsegae gift certificates and Post Office Shopping gift certificates. Winners will be announced on Dec. 3 through Post Office Banking and internet banking.

Postal Service chief Park In-hwan (박인환) said it is important to keep investing steadily at a pace that matches one's investment goals and preferences. He said he hopes the event will help customers start investing through the Post Office Fund without 부담 and develop healthy asset-management habits.
