KB Kookmin Bank is running an event offering 1GB of eSIM data to non-face-to-face currency exchange customers preparing for overseas travel.
KB Kookmin Bank said on Aug. 13 it will run the event, titled "When you travel abroad, include an eSIM too! Exchange currency and get 1GB data free!", from Aug. 14 to Sept. 30.
The event targets customers who request a currency exchange of at least the equivalent of $100 through KB Star Banking or internet banking. The first 50,000 customers will receive 1GB of global eSIM data for free.
Eligible customers can check the coupon number on the currency exchange customer benefits page in KB Star Banking, then verify the coupon number in partner Ebridge's The Lounge app to use it.
A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We prepared this event to combine currency exchange services with data usage benefits and provide practical benefits customers need for overseas travel."
