Game companies shift ESG focus to security and user rights
Major South Korean game companies are reshaping ESG priorities, putting user rights, cybersecurity, AI ethics and talent management at the center of their 2025 sustainability reports. Firms increasingly use dual materiality assessments to gauge both societal impact and financial risk from ESG issues such as data leaks and cheating. AI appears as a growing governance issue alongside productivity gains. Approaches differ by company, while environmental efforts shift toward management systems such as carbon neutrality goals and climate analysis.
