Krafton has released a regular report outlining its sustainability management system and response strategies for key material issues.

On June 29, Krafton published its 2025 Krafton environmental, social and governance (ESG) report, which includes key issues derived from global sustainability disclosure standards and a double materiality assessment.

Krafton established an ESG framework reflecting the characteristics of the game industry. The framework is built around three pillars: sustainable infrastructure, trusted publishing and responsible artificial intelligence (AI).

In the sustainable infrastructure area, it introduced the design of its eco-friendly Seongsu Sinsa headquarters and the status of cloud-based operations on a scale of about 9,000 virtual machines. In trusted publishing, it detailed results from upgrading its in-house anti-cheat system, KSS, based on global services in 242 countries, sanctioning about 7.95 million cheating accounts last year. In responsible AI, it presented plans to build governance through an information security international standard system (ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701) and an AI safety consultative body.

Krafton also identified four major material issues through its double materiality assessment: data security and personal information protection, user protection and community safety, core talent and capabilities, and AI-based game and new business innovation. It systemised response strategies aligned with its business context.

A Krafton official said the report systematically organises how Krafton will view and manage ESG based on the essence of the game industry and its experience operating global services. The official said the company will further strengthen trust with stakeholders, focusing on sustainable infrastructure, trusted publishing and responsible use of AI.

Krafton plans to continue upgrading its management system for major ESG issues based on its ESG framework.
