Yeouisystem said on May 19 it will launch industrial networking specialist Moxa’s next-generation serial solutions, the G2 series, in the South Korean market.

The shift from G1 to G2 is designed to allow continued use of existing legacy serial equipment while connecting it safely in a strengthened security environment. It is also designed to deliver data integration and protocol conversion in a single step.

The company said the G2 series strengthens cybersecurity functions based on the IEC 62443-4-2 industrial security standard to protect operational technology (OT) assets. It also supports uninterrupted operation with redundant power and network configurations. Installation and operational convenience have also been improved with an intuitive web-based interface.

The G2 series integrates with Moxa’s network management software MXview One to provide real-time monitoring, remote firmware updates, and fault diagnostics and alerts. It can build an integrated control environment even in dispersed industrial sites.

It can be applied in various fields including smart factories, rail and port infrastructure, energy and power-generation plants, and building automation. The company said it expects the products to be suitable for industrial sites that need to secure both security and operational efficiency without replacing legacy equipment.

A Yeouisystem official said demand for serial solutions with security and stability is rising rapidly as digital transformation accelerates at industrial sites. The official said the company will offer differentiated competitiveness through Moxa’s G2 technology and Yeouisystem’s tailored consulting and technical support.
