iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max: key changes from previous models

Apple unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, highlighting a variable-aperture main camera, the next-generation A20 Pro chip, improved battery life and better heat control. Pre-orders start on Sept. 12 and the phones go on sale on Sept. 18. Apple did not announce a standard iPhone 18 and will continue selling the iPhone 17. Standard Energy introduces VIB ESS technology to EU delegation

Standard Energy said European commercial and embassy officials in South Korea visited its Daejeon site on Sept. 9 as part of an innovation partnership event hosted by the Innopolis Foundation. About 20 participants from the EU delegation and the French and German embassies toured a VIB ESS demonstration site at KAIST Munji Campus and the company’s automated production line. The visit focused on VIB’s safety features, high output and commercialization progress.

Kyrgyzstan has 90 crypto-related criminal cases, expands cooperation with financial sector

Kyrgyzstan is stepping up enforcement against crypto-related crime as the industry grows quickly, with 90 criminal cases registered by police this year. Interior Minister Ulan Niyazbekov (울란 니야즈베코프) said crypto is being used for cyber fraud, embezzlement and money laundering, with cross-border transactions complicating tracing. Authorities are expanding cooperation with banks and the central bank, while also pushing digital asset experiments including a som-linked stablecoin and a digital som.
