Shinhan Bank builds financial partnership with Hoseo University

Shinhan Bank will act as a key financial partner for Hoseo University, providing financial services needed to run the school and strengthening tailored support for students and faculty. The bank said it signed a memorandum of understanding with the university on June 1 at Hoseo University\'s Asan campus in Asan, South Chungcheong Province. Under the agreement, the bank will also support issuing student IDs that double as debit cards.

South Korea\'s three mobile carriers are starting their annual shareholder meetings, with LG Uplus meeting first on March 24, followed by SK Telecom on March 26 and KT on March 31. 5G quality still falls short; coverage overstated 6.67 percent

Criticism has resurfaced that 5G service quality remains inadequate even as discussions on a shift to 6G continue. An analysis by lawmaker Kwak Kyutaek (곽규택) of a government report found the three mobile carriers’ overstated 5G coverage-map rate fell in 2024 but surged to 6.67 percent in 2025. High-speed rail 5G performance also lagged, with lower speed-target fulfilment rates and more sections recording poor download speeds.
