Shinhan Bank will provide financial services needed to run Hoseo University as its key financial partner. It will also strengthen tailored financial support for students and faculty.

Shinhan Bank said on June 2 that it signed a business agreement with Hoseo University on June 1 at the university's Asan campus in Asan, South Chungcheong Province, for mutual joint development.

Under the agreement, Shinhan Bank will stably provide financial services needed for university operations as Hoseo University's key financial partner. It will also support issuing student IDs that double as debit cards for students.

Hoseo University is pushing to foster talent in advanced industries such as AI, semiconductors and biohealth. The two sides also plan to seek ways to cooperate to strengthen a student-centered support system.

Jeong Sang-hyeok (정상혁), CEO of Shinhan Bank, said it was meaningful to become a financial partner supporting Hoseo University's education, research and overall administration. He said the bank would provide innovative and convenient financial services to build a model of shared growth in which both sides can grow together.
